When you purchase your fireworks, always store it in a cool, dry place – away from the reach of children – whether they are lit or not.  If you want to use fireworks after purchase, ensure you set it up in a large, open place – away from any buildings, structures or trees.  Please do not stand to close to the launch point of the fireworks as they can be seen from afar, so if you are watching, ensure you stay further away from it.  To be prepared for any emergency situation involving a firework spark, ensure you keep a bucket of water, or garden hose available.

Always ensure you do not light a firework while holding it in your hand – plant them in a pail of dirt or sand, and stand as far away from the firework as possible before lighting up. Before you begin, ensure you have your ear plugs on, your fire-resistant gloves, and your protective goggles.  If you are putting on a Halloween costume, ensure the costume is non-flammable and after lighting up, do not try to re-light it – even if they do not function properly at first.  Always, make sure you handled fireworks with care and follow guidlines.
