As the NHS marks its 72nd Birthday on Sunday 5th of July, Britain prepares for the “biggest thank you” in our history. With one last nationwide clap, cheer, music & fireworks to make the most noise we can, the nation aims to surpass the brilliant efforts we’ve seen every Thursday for the past 10 weeks.
Millions of people across the UK have shown their support and gratitude to the tremendous frontline workers, from NHS staff, supermarket workers, delivery men and women and many, many more. We’ve seen the community come together by showing kindness, gratitude and appreciation for all workers who have kept this country going and kept the people of the UK safe.
Now the call has come for Britain to come together once more to mark the auspicious occasion of the NHS’s 72nd birthday.
Show your support one last time by returning to your doorstep or garden to bang together your pots and pans, beep your car horns and let off those spectacular fireworks on Sunday 5th of July to pay tribute. Rocket fireworks and barrage packs have been a popular choice during Clap for Carers, providing a bit of sparkle and magic in this unprecedented time. With children and parents alike enjoying sparklers in their gardens to celebrate and keep the children entertained.
So let’s go out with a bang on the 5th of July and thank our heroes for their continued dedication during COVID-19 and the upcoming months and years!
