Jordan’s Fireworks have been getting prepared for the 15th September for the Chinese Moon Festival. The deliveries have just been finished and discovering about the festival itself created a buzz here on Jordan’s shop floor, and it inspired us to learn more.
The most well-known fact about the festival is the food and Mooncakes, which are for sure is one of them. The delicacy traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival has a pastry case and are densely filled with a sweet tasting filling. The moon cakes are shared between family to show closeness and unity.
The festival is also known as the Lantern Festival, so we had more than just fireworks to deliver out. Having expanded our lantern collection we were more than happy to show off the choices we had. The moon will certainly show off the fireworks, giving credit to itsname festival. On the night of the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, it is furthest from the earth, so it will be bright full and round as the lanterns fly away.
This wonderful display of firework and lanterns brings families together during this period and is a widely celebrated tradition.
