Hampton Court palace celebrated its 500th birthday over the easter weekend and the castle was opened up after hours to a sold out crowd of thousands.
Visitors step back through time to when the castle was built in Henry VIII ‘s day, all through history until the modern day. the castle has been a popular destination and home for many monarchs and Shakespeare even performed there for Queen Elizabeth 1.
The 500th anniversary was made even more spectacular with a light show against the back of the spectacular castle and then of course to make it truly amazing there was a huge fireworks display to end the evenings.
