Each year there are always stories about problems with the availability of fireworks for bonfire night and this year is no exception.
The problems arises because one of the major firework producing areas in China can suffer from temperatures so high that the Chinese government halt the production of fireworks.
Unfortunately this usually happens around July and August when the factories are producing fireworks for the UK market. Before July the firework factories are concentrating on producing fireworks for the American 4th July market and it is not easy to get fireworks made for the UK market until the American orders have been fulfilled. Normally the shut down lasts fora couple of weeks but this year due to a prolonged spell of temperatures in excess of 40 degrees manufacture of fireworks was suspended for six weeks.
Fortunately at Jordans Fireworks we buy our fireworks from various sources in China to reduce our exposure to this problem and hence we have large stocks already in the UK. We update our web site as soon as a product arrives at our stores.
Indeed, on many bespoke items we have them manufactured 12 months before we need them, just so we can be sure of having stock for bonfire night.
So whilst others may still be waiting for fireworks from one source, our policy of spreading our firework purchasing always means that we can supply fireworks for your firework display.
