Despite the move towards an all electronic age we still feel there is a place for the good old brochure. There are problems with brochures in the fact that they can be out of date as soon as they are printed, once printed you can’t alter them, the cost of posting them out and the time taken to design them, stuff the envelopes, I could go on and on but there is something nice about getting a brochure in the post and settling down to look through it (maybe with a nice cup of tea and a chocy biccy).
We also feel that a brochure gives the consumer confidence in a company. A web site can be quick and easy to set up and you’ve no idea whether there is a company behind it or not, particularly with all the online fraud you hear about today.
One of the major issues though we have experienced with our brochure in recent years is the fact that we can no longer put our whole range in it. We now concentrate on our most popular items in the brochure, whereas our web site will contain at times over 300 different lines. We may only have small quantities of some of the lines we have on the web site and hence they are not worth putting in a brochure as they could be sold out in a short space of time and the brochure would be immediately out of date.
So our brochure is now available and is being posted out to existing customers, if you would like a copy posting to you please contact us.
Our new web site is now basically finished and is undergoing testing to make sure everything works correctly. The new web site has been designed with mobile use as a priority. Apparently the average person checks their mobile phone 200 times a day (I check mine about once a day) hence for most people being able to order on a mobile device is more important. We’ll keep you posted as to when the new site goes live.
