Like everyone else in the town, here at Jordans Fireworks, we were as puzzled as everyone else about the mysterious black ring that appeared in the sky over Leamington Spa last week.
The ring first spotted and filmed by schoolgirl, Georgina Heap, has led to speculation and debate that has not just gripped Warwickshire, not even just the UK, but in fact the world over. Appearing in the sky for three minutes in broad daylight last Friday, some said the ring was caused by a swarm of bees, others said it was a flock of birds, then there were those who said it was pollution.
On discovering the ring was probably caused by smoke from pyrotechnics though, we were fascinated.
After accusations that video footage of the ring was faked, it is now believed that it was caused by smoke from pyrotechnics at nearby Warwick Castle as part of their new daily Trebuchet Fireball Spectacular show.
What do you think? Was the ring caused by the trebuchet’s intense mix of gasoline and diesel, or was it something else?
